2. General Information on Data Processing

Protecting your personal data is very important to me. The portal can generally be used without providing personal data. Personal data is only collected if you register or use the service.

3. Registration and Login

Full access requires registration. The following data is processed:

  • Email address (upon registration)
  • Information from third-party providers when logging in via Apple, Discord, GitHub, Google (e.g., name, profile picture)
  • Date, time, and type of login

Login is handled via OAuth2 (Apple, Discord, GitHub, Google) and magic links sent by email. OAuth2 integrations use official SDKs and APIs.

4. Trial Period and Payment System

After registration, a 7-day free trial is provided. Afterwards, access to content is paid via credits, purchasable through PayPal or Patreon.

Payments are processed via PayPal SDKs and React components. Payment data is handled solely by PayPal and Patreon.

5. Server Hosting and Logging

The portal is hosted on a web server. The following data is automatically logged:

  • Anonymized IP address
  • Date and time of request
  • HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Referrer
  • Browser type, language, and version

These data are used for technical monitoring and system security.

6. Data Storage and Processing

Data storage and management is done via Appwrite, a backend service with servers located in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

7. Use of Cookies

Cookies are used for session management, language preferences, dark mode settings and if cookie banner has been accepted.

8. Use of Third-Party Services

  • Appwrite: Backend service for user management and data storage
  • PayPal: Payment processing
  • OAuth2 Providers: Apple, Discord, GitHub, Google for login

11. URL Shortener

The portal uses its own URL shortener. The following data is stored:

  • HTTP headers (User-Agent, Referrer, language settings)
  • IP address and possibly derived location data (anonymized)
  • Time and type of request
  • Target URL

These data are used solely for technical provision, security, and abuse prevention and are deleted after a maximum of 7 or 90 days.
